moving onto followon milk

so in another month we will be moving onto follow on milk i was just wondering if i run out of infant formula like a day or 2 before she is due to move on to follow on milk would it hurt if i bought and gave her follow on milk that couple of days before she is 6 months old.
She was a week over due and way so she should have been 6 months old a week before she actually is iykwim :-/

i'm pretty sure it'll be fine, after all nothing suddenly happens on your child's 6 month birthday that suddenly makes them ready! Saying that its best to switch once weaning is underway as follow on milk is designed to offer nutrition alongside food, not on its own. Hth, Jx
