Moving to Germany - anyone in my area?

Hi,
I'm moving to Dusseldorf with my husband and 8 week old baby in just 4 weeks time! Though I know the city fairly well, I'm really terrified about moving away from friends and family. Any tips about moving to Germany for a new mum?

Hey, I am German but I lived in the UK for a while and now in France. Germany is big on kids so there should be a playgroup or something near you. If not have alook around for kindergarten they usually do playgroups as well.Good luck you will love Germany.xxxx

Hi topcat, I know you posted this ages ago, but my DH is starting a new job in Wuppertal in January, and I'll be moving with DD1&2 (and hopefully a bump) around Easter... are you still living in Dusseldorf? How did the move go?
