I was just wondering what happens to your mucus plug if you have a C-Section? (If you havent passed it yet, that is)

Just wondering cause I had a C section at 34 weeks. My due date was April 29th. I just went to the bathroom and felt something coming out of me...so I looked down and there was this gel like stuff coming out and there was a big glob of it in the toilet.

Well you should have still bled after your csection...it would have just come out then. Was the "glob" bloody at all or just mucus? It was probably just something else

I stopped bleeding about a week ago. Maybe a little less.

It had a little bit of a brown tint to it.

Not everyone notice it go at all even with a normal labour and birth. I have only noticed it with 3 out of 6 births and each time when I've wiped....not like feeling a bit blob or anything as it's only like a very thick discharge blob....not tissue or anything. Maybe you passed a clot or something, can still happen even when bleeding appears to have stopped. Your show/plug will have gone long ago anyway when you started bleeding it would have come out then.
