Mucus Plug???

Hi ladies.
So this morning, I went to the toilet and when i wiped myself there was a long stringy clump of something. (sorry, bit hard to explain)
There was nothing in my underwear, just when i wiped, i noticed it on the tissue.
And then I have noticed it again just now!
Could this be my mucus plug??
How early can you loose it? Im only 27 weeks!
It wasn't pink stained. It was just like a see-through, kind of cream colour!
Does this mean baby's on it's way? Or is it nothing to worry about?

your plug can grow back,so its generally nothing to worry about!
however they say if its blood streaked you should get checked
