mucus plug ?

hello sorry if this sounds horrible but ..
i went to the loo today and when i wipped there was this massive lump of greenish gue kind of like snot but it had no blood or nything in it
and im worrid that if this is my mucus plug does it mean that my baby is now unprotected from germs and bacteria or does it regenarate its self ?
and has this happend to nyone alse at about 20 weeks ?

I had the same thing and went into the hospital for it they checked me and everything was completely fine. I actually was at my routine doctors appointment today and she checked it again and she gave it a name for women who have more during pregnancy but I forgot she said its 100 percent normal. As long as there is no brown or red in it and no smell not to worry.

If it is Greenish in color, you should speak w/ your doctor because it could be an infection. The mucus plug, while it does regenerate, doesn't come out until the cervix dilates, because that is what holds it up there.
Yeast infections are very common in pregnancy so it could be that, but you should probably be checked out to make sure it's not something else , as infections left untreated can harm the baby.
