Hi :hi:

I was wondering if anyone could recommend a good multiple pregnancy book? I live in the uk and have struggeled to find one.

Many thanks xx

I've read a couple, but I really haven't found a multiples one that I really like to be honest. The two multiple pregnancy ones I have are
Twins! by Agnes, Klein and Ganon
When you're expecting twins, triplets or quads by Luke and Eberlein

which I've read in addition to all the zillion single pregnancy ones (what to expect, girlfriend's guide, etc).. They aren't bad, they just weren't as comprehensive as I would like.

one book I have really found I like is called Juggling Twins by Regan-Loomis but it is more focused on taking care of the twins and not the pregnancy itself

sorry this may not help much, but some ideas to check out if you're in a bookstore =)

Honestly, I couldn't find any I liked either. I found the ones I picked up all suggested nannies or night nurses to get you through the first few months. Unfortunately I haven't won the lottery so I couldn't afford a nanny lol

I found the internet to be a good source of information. I don't mean google, it's just scary. Forums like this are best for specialist advise from the experts (other mummies!) I just read 'What to Expect When Your Expecting'

Thanks ladies, yes I think you're right the net is going to be one of the best sources of help and information.

I think I'm going to buy 'What to expect when your expecting' as I understand the new version has a chapter on multiples.

Ooh just out of interest - I've joined TAMBA, they sent me a really good information pack today and they also have an online support network.

Thanks for your help xx

I liked "When you're expecting twins, triplets or quads" by Luke and ANC found it the best twin pregnancy book over all. I also like "Mothering Multiples" and recommend it if you plan to breastfeed or do a combo of formula and breastfeeding.

There are lots of fun twin memoir and advice books out there for after they're born and I must have read at least 8 of them. None of them stood out as a big winner to me, but I did enjoy them and picked up good bits of advice from each one.

One of my biggest helps right now is a local twin Facebook group. The ladies there are so helpful and have lots of local advice. It's also a great resource for buying used twin supplies cheap. And i'v got a playdate scheduled with a local twin mom next week because of it.

I'm now reading this one...

Funny & takes all the complicated words out (like monochorionic) & simplifies it all.

"Twinspiration"

Really excellent! For pregnancy through year 1

No recommendations for twin related books, but I love "Baby 411." Use it all the time for first-year references (especially the food/formula sections and the sleep section!).
