Anyone playing music to their baby yet? what kind of stuff r they dancing to!!?

I heard, they can't hear outside the womb until 24 weeks but at 17-18 weeks they can hear yours. So, I've been singing You are my sunshine to him or CLose to you by carpenters. :happydance:

Thankyou i wasn't sure when they could hear outside the womb. I better start singing too .. my poor baby!! I love "you are my sunshine"...lovely choice x

I have been playing some classical stuff, like Mozart & Claude Debussy. I've also been playing some Glenn Miller....she loves String of Pearls. I don't sing to her much because my voice is lousy and she's a captive audience haha but I do talk to her all the time, especially during my morning and afternoon commute. I think it helps keep me calm as well!

I talked to my baby all the time:blush:. People might think I'm crazy talking to myself since my bump hasn't showed yet. LOL...

I talk to him too lol. I can't say whether or not he responds to my voice, but I know it helps me feel closer to him :)

I've been playing a bit of classical on a night, haven't noticed a reaction though. OH been singing Bob Marley (3 little birds) to bump but no reaction to that either yet:haha: Going to carry on though, apparently they recognise tunes/stories that they've heard in the womb when they're born...I need to invest in a nursery rhyme book, can't even remember the whole of Twinkle Twinkle!

i've been playing music to my bump for a few weeks. Theres a free iPhone app called 'ilullaby' which is basically just nursery rhymes, i play that every night when i go to bed :) xx

That's a great idea! I'm getting OH to download it NOW :happydance:

Mine loves a bit of Michael Jackson....well he/she doesn't have a choice really:happydance:

ive been sitting in on my partners rehearsals the last 3 days and i had to break it to him that baby doesnt move at all while they are jamming out their music lol
so far she hasnt responded to anything ive played her though but she definitely moves less when theres loud music playing :)

I can't wait until baby can hear more and respond with movement. I plan on playing good old Rock n Roll ;)

i love bob marley so have been playing it to bump!! hope it mellows baby out like it does for me!! "Dont worry about a thing....Coz every lil thing..Is gonna be alright"

A bit of classic fm daily and my favourite film scores; jurassic park, ET, gladiator etc. She loves ET, pedals those legs like crazy :bike:

awwwwwwwww my baby book says they can hear from 12 weeks and to start playing them music as soon as there's a bump big enough to clip headphones onto, lol, and there's a photo of a skinny bird with a perfect bump wearing headphones.

I also had to tell OH that if baby does move to Metallica it is simply to tell daddy to turn that rubbish off :happydance:

I plan to play classical, love Debussy! My stepson already told me he will sing his favorite song to the baby bump which is you are my sunshine. That's the only song that calmed him down since he was a baby.
