She's coming out at 2 as I can't obviously trek up there with my leg (eventho it's a lot better!lol) The last time I seen a MW was on the 6th and that was when my bp etc was high-I had to phone today and say to her I need to see you as I am 39 weeks tomorrow! Is it just me or is anyone else's MW's seem to be sooo busy and over run that they can be complacent? xx
hope your BP is ok today and baby is head down ready to go! Im due to get my bloods done next week, not sure if im seeing a midwife at teh same time or not, after that my next appointment isnt untill 34 weeks, not sure if i want to wait that long. x
I think my bp will be better as Dale is back at work! Seriously my bp was up then because he was on annual leave and doing my head in! Men can be harder work than kids! And lazy fookers!x
Bloomin' mw turned up at 12.30-i was sitting vegatating with un matching jama top and bottoms on, hair up in a messy bun looking a right skank! she said oh i knew u wouldnt be anywhere coz of ur leg-ffs but i would of got washed! anyhoo bp and urine are fine but my girlie is not even engaged yet and MW thinks that I will go over so I could still be here in 2 weeks time she warned me bout these dreaded after pains-told me how some women who are on their 3rd and 4th have no pain relief during labour but need morphine every 4 hours for after pains-my got she put the shiters in me now! anyway I am pleased bubs is fine etc but a bit gutted that I might be here til October..... xxx
Glad things went well KX, i thought 2nd babies dont engage until much later though? infact not until your in labour i thought?! Getting a bit worried about these after pains now ! hmm is it too late to change my mind !! lol
I think Layla had the after pains bad (correct me if I am wrong hun) so I am dreading it! Think I might have to contemplate having sex to try and get her out Steph I hope ur right about second bubs not engaging til the end, my mw made out as tho she should be engaged by now-but she doesn't know her arse form her elbow!
yeah i had the bad after pains on Ethan, seroiusly hun, im not telling you to scare you, im just telling you so you can get ready, they are like labour pains but dont last very long. On your 2nd/3rd etc the baby doesnt have to engange untill right up untill labour so Steph is right, im suprised your midwife didnt tell you that. Have lots of Sex! lol x
Well good news that your BP and urine are fine! Don't worry that your LO is not engaged yet - second babies can float around right up until labour itelf. I had an appointment today and my LO is only 1/5 engaged and I'm hoping I'm not all that far off! (All though no signs at all yet). At least things are going well Kx, and every day you're pregnant it's another day for your knee to heel! Yeah lots of sex and do you have a birthing ball? Lots of bouncing on that!
neither of my 2's head engaged i was checked the day before i went into labour with them both and both times the head was just bobbing around! after pains are sore just like being about 5cm dilated i needed nothing with them though just paracetamol every now and then and ild just go quiet and breath till it passed the more babies you have the worse they are!!! my poor mum after her 6th labour
WOW KX I cant believe your only a week or so off your due date!!!! I dont think it means so much that the baby isnt engaged, So excited for you..could be anytime now!!!!!!!!
Sorry to Hi-Jack this thread but wobbs and Layla. What are your bloods for? I see the midwife this weds, gorr i hope i dont have to give any more blood it makes me feel queezy, KX I'm sure everything will fall into place huni xx
mine are just a re take of all the ones i had at 12 weeks. At least i think thats it anyway, i dont really pay attention lol x
Afterpains are bad but they pass after a few days, think mine finished around day 4 and were only REALLY bad when I was breastfeeding. I have to admit they did make me want to cry but the pains passed pretty quickly and all women are different, some will get them worse than others. I didn't have any after Ella (not that I can remember!). At least you're prepared hon
Prepared and scared Kina I sound a baby but I am actually pretty nervous of giving birth etc-its worse second time round-I know what I'm in for TBH plz dont think I am geeky but I am totally freaked by the thought of my waters breaking naturally! Too late now to worry tho ...... xx
kx i was worried about that too!!! had visions of me in work and flooding the place wen they went i didnt know if i had peed or if it was my waters at first! i wobbled to the loo after feeling a trickle, peed, wiped, pulled clean knickers/pad/trousers on... 5 mins later whoosh!!!! said to darren... think you best phone a taxi wandered down to takin wi jammie bottoms on, and a towel between my legs!!!! modest
