MW notes about the 5ths thing

I dont know, i think they all do it differently. My midwife does it so when she writes 3/5s in my notes, it means shes 3/5ths engaged, so only had 2/5ths to go, but alot of other people i speak to say their midwives to it the other way round..

I think the only way to find out would be to ask her x

 

Ive always been told that they count it by how many they can feel so 4/5 would mean she can feel 4/5 and that your 1/5 in but like laura said different midwives probably have different ways x

 

I think they all count it as the amount they can still feel as sam said... so 1/5 is in there and you still have 4/5 above x

Yep you're starting to engage. At 36 weeks I was "free", at 38 weeks I was 2/5ths, and at 40 weeks I was "Eng". As in can't get any further down. So why the hell am I still waiting?????
