My son is insistent that if I get pregnant and have a baby girl - her name needs to be:

Lillian Brianne

For some reason he loves this name! I am not a fan. But I don't want to disappoint him either, bc at this age having baby #2 is a big deal and I want him to be completely on board.

As a compromise I came up with Lillia Brielle - similar to his favorite name choice but more along the lines of a name I would like. I'm not sure I LOVE it though.

What are your thoughts on Lillia Brielle and do you prefer it spelled Lillia or Lilia?

Thanks! :flower:

I like Lilia with one L but think both are nice. Not fond of Brielle, I prefer Brianne. You should choose names you are happy with though, your son is much more likely to change his mind than you are.

I actually prefer Lillian Brianne. Sounds lovely. But if you're not 100% in love, why not compromise by choosing one of Lillian or Brianne? Then pick one that you love.

I don't mind Lillia and Brielle as separate names but together I think it's a bit much.

I would go with whatever name you like best. At seven his taste will probably change a hundred times yet. Had my parents let me name our dogs at that age I would've hated them a few years later. :haha:

I actually think Lillian is lovely and a name I considered for my second daughter. I am not so much of a fan of the second name and would probably put something shorter and simpler with it. I just think Lillian flows nicer and sounds Nicer than Lillia x

Why not offer him the opportunity to choose the baby's middle name and then pick whatever first name you want/planned to use?
