G came back from nursery with a nasty bruised bite mark just under his eye :(

DH collected him & nursery said they'll keep a closer eye on the boy that did it & also speak with his parents - he has bitten before but they think it was an overenthusiqstic hug not malacious biting.

I'm not sure how old the boy was but G has always been just in baby room but I know on Wednesday he went with the toddlers for free play for the first time & I'm assuming he was ther again when it happened but DH didn't ask. Their toddlers are usually 15months to 2.5years but g is very confident so I think that's why he's been moved up a bit (?) just worried coz he's small for his age that he's gonna struggle in there but then worried he's too active, inquisative & boistrous for baby room.

Gonna have a meeting with them next week anyway but looking at his face I wanna cry

aww no poor little man  hope hes ok x and it gets sorted x

aww, your poor little LO! It's really horrible when they get hurt like that but you can't wrap them up in cotton wool and no matter how much the staff are watching, accidents will always happen. I don't think they'd have moved him up unless they were confident he'd be okay but you should definitely discuss all your concerns next week :hugs:

Oh bless you. That sounds nasty. hope he is ok. I know biting is pretty common but still.
Be firm when you go In! Hope you sort it out.

I feel for you, as a mum to a girlie who has started (not for a while now) biting, if it's any consolation its a horrible place to be knowing your child is doing it, and seeing what they have done. Its a phase they go through to express/release anger and sometimes its just the child in passing hasnt even done anthing, sometimes they're fighting over something

:hugs: Poor George and poor you!

Sofia always comes back from nursery with scratches and bruises but I think that's mostly from her getting tripped over - now she's walking she doesn't seem to have as many!

I'm always worried that Sofia's going to start pinching or hitting the other children. She does it to me only so far.

Aw, poor George:( it is horrible to think some other baby is inflicting pain on your baba!! Charlie had a terrible bruise on his cheek one of the days I picked him up last week but none of the staff could tell me what happened! Made me wonder how closely they're monitoring the children but I suppose they all can't be watched constantly and I was told most babies go through this wee phase of hitting, biting and scratching each other :( hopefully not for long x

Jack got bit at nursery a few weeks ago, I could of cried. One of the boys there bit his hand. The staff saw him do it straight away though and got him off Jack. He can fight his corner though cos then he pulled the little boys hair!! Theres always one kid to look out for at nursery!! The staff just need to make sure that they are closely watching this boy to make sure it doesnt happen again. I hope George is ok hun.
xx

Poor little guy. I hope he's better and the kid who bit him had his vaccinations.

Elle has gotten bit about 4 times at daycare. I think because he likes to take other babies toys - not to be mean, but she is very curious and likes to touch whatever your touching or playing with.
