My first CLOMID cycle... I want buddies!

I need some help/input badly...

My body is freaking out or something. My temps have skyrocketed today, temping again at 99.3. I am extremely dizzy and have a tight headache feeling in my head.

Is this a side effect of Clomid for anyone right before they get their period? Ugh, this is awful. All pregnancy tests are very negative.

Idk but didn't want you to think you were being ignored. Maybe a sinus infection? Did your temps dip below the coverline? Could have been implantion and it takes a few days for it I show up on a test. Those are my only two guesses. Hope you feel better and AF stays away and you get you BFP!

Thanks Ophelia! Still not sure what the deal is, but I really don't think I am pregnant. Maybe you're right and it is a sinus infection or something, idk. Thanks for responding!! How are you doing?

So, another bummer for me... I found out next cycle I will have to be taking a break. Which might be good for my body, but I hope it doesn't cause me to miss my chance. The pharmacy couldn't have my prescription ready today (which is just stupid lol - how much does it take to get a pack of pills ready) and I won't have a car to go anywhere. (We live in the middle of nowhere and I work at home.) So... next cycle I am off Clomid, taking a short TTC break. That is, unless my period can hold off starting until Thursday. We shall see!

That is a BUMMER! CVS has mine ready in an hour. This is a good time to try fertility blend if you're taking a break from Clomid. If you get back out and find it in your area.

Update on me: 7 DPO. Yesterday I was having hot flashes! I'm never hot, EVER. So after the 2nd flash of hell I took my temp and it was 99.3. I feel tired and achy with some sinus stuffiness. Probably just the change in weather. I went to bed around 9 and woke up a few times and temped. 97.7 at 1am 98.1 at 5am and 98.3 and 7:30. I'm just temping sporadically to have something to do until AF shows.

I also found this odd: I had my boobs done a few years back and they've been numb from the nip down since then. I've been having these shooting pains and I can feel them in the numb part! That's a weird feeling!

Good luck!! Someone on this thread needs a I'll be starting as soon as AF shows! Maybe the 1st part of October if I'm lucky and don't have to take provera to jumpstart! What cycle days are you taking it? Are you being monitored or having b/w?

My docs have never induced a period before starting, when I conceived Jace I came off Bcp in January, diagnosed with pcos in April (hadn't had a period since stopping Bcp) my doc gave me a progesterone test to ensure I'd not recently ovulated and the next day I rang they said it was less than 1 so I hadn't oved, they said start taking the pills tomorrow and just call that cd5. I oved 17 days later (12 after last pill) and got my BFP at 9dpo.....so no AF In 5 months prior to conceiving. So my doc is doing the same this time just gotta call tomoz to get my progesterone results.

Oh I gotcha! I started Clomid w/o AF last month. I thought that was why AF showed up 6 days after pos OPK. I don't have PCOS or anything, I'm just not ovulating because I was on Depo for so long.

I hope it's that easy for you this time!!

My best friend is also desperate for a baby but suffering from the after effects of depo! She stopped taking it January.

Looking for anyone who has been successful or is trying the Clomid cycle even though they already O on their own. I am 35 and DH is 41.

We have been TTC for 6 months now, Doc says all seems ok with me, checked my ovaries before ovulation, there was always one egg there ready, I always got positive OPK so its unexplained. Only test left to do (which I would rather postpone), is a possible tube blockage, but unlikely. So decided to try Clomid for 2 months first. Doc said it would boost the amoutn of eggs and therefore the chances on conceiving.

First day on Clomid started yesterday, 100mg. Anyone else trying with Clomid this week?

Venus, hopeful is starting Clomid today. I won't be starting again for a few weeks. As for your question, I've heard plenty of women using Clomid who already O for various reasons. It helps the quality and maturity of eggs, can produce multiple eggs, moves O up if O'ing late in cycle and can help lengthen the luteal phase.

Are you being monitored with b/w or scans? Temping or using OPK's?

I've been stalking this thread and rooting for you all. Currently sat with the iPad at 2am when I should be sound asleep but my Clomid hot flashes are insane! I just can't sleep. This is my third really restless night - I'm going to be like a zombie again in work.
I'm on my first Clomid round of 50mg. Tomorrow will be my third ultrasound scan (day 14) and I'm praying that the 15mm follicle on my right has had a lovely growth spurt for me.. The two on my left may be futile as my left tube is all blocked.
I've been taking Robiussin 4 times a day and I agree it really works! I saw the real deal EWCM yesterday for the first time ever!

Has anyone had sickness as a side effect? Mid morning yesterday I had the worst feeling come over me and thought I was going to throw up... Maybe it's over-tiredness and nerves. TTC has taken over my life x

Venus we're the same age as you guys, I'd always get pos OPK but consultant wonders if I was always actually O'ing. I had horrendous HSG that revealed blocked tube and then a Laparoscopy about 6months ago but unfortunately my left is too damaged by scarring (god knows what from) so anyway Clomid is our last ditch attempt! Xx

Sooooo, my doc rang yesterday and said don't start clomid, my progesterone was 6.1- luteal phase! I'm shocked I don't usually ovulate on my own!! So now I am waiting for AF to start so I can start clomid, the frustrating part is I don't know if I'm 1 dpo or 14 lol. Frustrating! I'm thinking early.... By rough calculations and that progesterone number I'm guessing 3dpo. It's weird being in a 2ww when you don't normally ov. I think I BDed ov-5 days, ov-2 and ov+2.... Wish I'd been busier!!

My ov day is just a guess based on progesterone being only 6 it would either be soon after ov or soon before AF (as it peaks to 20+ in the middle) but if its soon b4 AF it's not high enough for pregnancy so I'm being optimistic it was on its was up rather than down!

Right with ovulation test have the coloured bands got to be same colour?!?!

I've got faint positives yesterday (5pm & 10pm) and one today at 5pm...

They are faint but definitely there & visible, what does this mean?

Today is day 18 in my cycle x

I started Clomid 50mg this cycle as I don't ovulate (progesterone level was 2). I did days 2-6 and on CD15 I got my first ever positive opk. I also got a positive on CD16 but test line on first test was a lot darker than control line. I'm now 2dpo and in the TWW. I'm having a blood test on Monday to check my progesterone levels and I will find out a week later what the results are when I see my fertility specialist. Trying to not get my hopes up but I have had painful ovulation pains all week so hoping it's worked. Baby dust to us all.

Hi, the test line has to be as dark or darker than the control line for a positive. I had several days of almost positives than two days of almost nothing before I got a really strong test line darker than the control line.
hopefully it will happen soon for you.
