My friend is 12 weeks and bleeding :(

Hi girls.

My friend is 12 weeks pregnant and has been bleeding a couple days.

First the blood was brown, it was old blood, but now it's brighter red.

She's been told she has to just wait it out

What can I say to comfort her etc?

Can it be okay?

It can defo be ok - If she is 12 weeks it may be round the time her AF would have been due and you can get breakthrough bleeding round those times. Lots of people have a bleed ar 4, 8, 12 weeks etc.

I wrote a thread starting Phew. Its about me bleeding at the weekend there. You should have a read as it definetley isnt a bad ending. The sonographer who gave me my early scan also informed me how common bleeding actually is.

I bled at 9 weeks and 12 weeks, Im now 34+ weeks and all is well! Tell her not to worrry unless need be!

Can definately be okay. I bled at 6 and 8 weeks with brown blood and bright red blood at 9, 11 and 14 weeks. Hope everything turns out okay for her. x

I had a bleed at 11wks had u/s and you could see the bleed on the scan,i was put on bedrest and told not to lift anything heavy havent had anything since fx! I have u/s tues to see if the bleed has gone from placenta. Im sure your friend will be fine xx
