I've been back to work for three days leaving my 5.2 month old with my husband, he is completely knackered!! He looks completely done in, to the point where he's gone for a lie down tonight when I got home.
It's not as if he's had to cook tea or go shopping or do anything else but look after her. No multi-tasking done today!
I remember a few months ago when I was having a moan about being tired and he said looking after a baby was easy and not real work.
I find it hilarious, eat your words mister.:laugh2:

Lol, My OH oftens says the same and i'd love to see him after a full day of looking after her...I'm going on a hen weekend in Novemebr and expect him to change his tune when i get back :haha:

I'm so pleased by this post that I just had to respond.

I am not a nice enough person to not prance around him while he's trying to get some rest taunting him with "what's wrong?" and "I told you so". :haha:

This is so like my house. I went to work yesterday leaving hubby with LO for the first time. When i got home he looked so tired. None of the house work was done at all and the place was a mess (nappies not even put in the bin :haha:).

He said to me 'this is harder than going to work, you don't even get 2 minutes to yourself' and i said 'welcome to my world' :haha::haha:

He has a slight cough now which I'm sure is going to develop into full blown man-flu by the morning. They are the weakest link:headspin:

Well they've got a bit of the second X chromosome missing so we should give them a bit of break really. :haha:

hahaha! My OH thinks going to the office is harder work than looking after LO - we'll put that to the test this weekend! He keeps me on my feet not to mention cooking cleaning... I would give my right arm to sit on a peaceful train for an hour a day just listening to my ipod, having an hours lunch break to wander round the shops on my own and sitting in a quiet calm office chatting to adults about grown up things :haha: Would love to do a swap and see him at the end of it
xx

oh i get this from DH too! he used to say 'Michelle why are u complaining all u do is 'just' look after Ella and i work all day'!!

changed his tune a little when i had to go renew my visa so i was in greece for the day! he looked after her on his own and when i got home NOTHING had been done!

im sure he used to think i sat on my arse all day drinking coffee! :coffee:

Poor hubby!!!! They really don't get it do they? My OH came in the other day and said "you forgot to dry the draining board when you washed up."
Err no I didn't forget, I just didn't do it. I don't care if the chrome sink HE CHOSE gets water marked.
But I did BF our child numerous times, fed her three meals and cleaned them up, bathed her, took her swimming and to playgroup.
I'm off to London tomorrow from 7am until Sunday afternoon and he's got LO on his own for more than 24 hours - lets see how dry the flipping draining board is then!

hahah I go to the gym saturday mornings and oh feeds the boys - thats it feeds them one meal of wheetabix and mashed banana. I get back two hours later and its carnage!! Dirty bowls, babies, toys everywhere and thats just a few hours!!!!!

My hubby once muttered those special words "what do you do all day". He got such a mouthful from me!! He is now finding out exactly what I did, as I'm back at work and he spends an hour and three quarters alone with her, part of which she's napping, before dropping her at nursery. He said he's so grateful when she goes for her nap as he gets five mins to himself. Hmmmm. Try it for a whole day love.

I loved spending all my time with her - work is a doddle compared though.

Ha! Eat your words men!!

:)

My SIL asked me this last weekend and seemed really confused about my mumbling answer. "well I feed her and um, clother her and um, change her and um play with her and um take her out and um meet other mums and um....."

I'm not a layabout!!!!! It's REALLY not easy peasy looking after a baby!!!! Honest!!!! :dohh:

Ha Ha, that made me laugh and hubby asked what I was laughing at. Needless to say he didn't find it amusing!!!!

This is the type of post I hope to be posting when I return back to work in February.. And yes I will expect dinner on the table when I get home

OMG, this is the conversation I had with DH tonight. He came in, grumpy as hell as he was 'tired'. I thought what???? Here's me thinking I'm the one who has been up most of the night, looked after baby all day, done the mountain of washing, cleaned the house, made dinner etc. It's funny how when I look after baby I o other things at the same time, when he has baby it consists of watching him sleep in his moses basket so he can't possibly move an inch!!!

Love this post! just read out loud to my dh and he just look unimpressed and said well you lot get more practise! I'm sooooo close to throwing the pc monitor at his head!!!!
