My gyno sucks!!!

Hello ladies...i have to vent....Well today i was scheduled or my HSG test. I have been waitin for this test for so long. Today is cd10...I woke up this am and was having these cramps. So I was curious to see if maybe I was ovulating so I took an OPK and it was shockingly positive

I usually ovulate on cd15. I dont know how accurate these tests are being that I'm on clomid. I called my gyno to see if I should cancel my HSG and he said yes and to see him for an appt. today (which was already scheduled today) after my HSG.

I went in and he told me that I may ovulate in the next couple days and he recommended another 21day bloods for next week. but the whole time he was quick to rush me out. I asked to see if he would run an ultrasound for a follicle check and he said "for what"?? I said to see whats going on with my body since he has never did an ultrasound on me...EVER!! He said I will have to see if someone can set it up but he seemed very hesitant and bothered by my request. Ok yes im being a little over board but its my body and I have the right to make demands...lol but anyway he never seems to care about anything.

I did finally have the ultrasound and there were some follicles. I think my gyno said they were 15mm or somethin in size...they were not well mature yet but should ovualate in the next day or two. He said maybe in the next couple days they will be mature. Hopefully this rounds works. Keep your fingers crossed!!

Does anyone feel uneasy about their gyno??

hi your def not the only one that feels this way hun! mine is a proper dragon lol!!! the way she words things are really awful...the 1st time we met her we went in thinking it was me as i have polycysts on only ovary & she blurted out sorry but its his swimmers....he has slow swimmers!!! not eactly the nicest way to put it hey!! then she booked me in for a hycosy & when i had it done the woman who was doing the ultra sound found my right ovary & was looking for the left....i thought this was strange as i do not have a left one & surely they should have my notes in front of them!!! after 5 mins i was like ' i havent got a ;left one!!!' my gyno who was putting the catheter in said...'oh yeah...bad luck hey!!' i just felt like crying!! we had our last app with her mon just gone & even my doc has said that the symptoms im getting could be caused by endometriosis...i spoke to my gyno bout this & said my doc advised that i ask 4 a lap....she turned round & said 'theres no need ur scans came back showing nothing' i said 'oh right so scans would def show if i had endometriosis then?' she said ' well not always but they show u havent got any polyps so don worry' then she asked if i ever had pain during intercourse, i said yes ( its one of the symptoms) and she said oh well u had ur cervix checked & it looks healthy....i felt like scareaming!!! then she parmed me off with more clomid!! have got an appointment with a private healthcare specialist who specialises in endometriosis on 21st dec...gonna cost £140 just to speak to him but im thinking if he says that i may have it ( have read everywhere that scans dont always show endometriosis!!) then i will demand a lap from my gyno.....wish i could afford to pay private for it but its way too expensive!!

hi... When ever i get an appt it says to c 'dr holland' never once hav i seen dr holland...?! I hav had 4 diff dr's 4 my appts...!! Great, they dont knw me, they just scan notes in front of me... An 1 dr said 'next time i will perscribe u clomid' went to the next appt + she was hesitant to giv it to me...an i had to ask as she wasnt goin to mention it!! Grrr...! An im glad i went to last appt without my db as she said they rnt prepared to do any more testing on me as my results so far hav been ok, she said blatently, its not u, its your db...thought we not suppost to blame eacg other...i could hardly tell my db what she said an refered us, an we actually seen the doctor on our apppt letter (it is a diff hsptl) an he said he will b seeing us evey appt...altho he askin my dr to check my tubes...my dr was good the 1 who gav us sa resulkts he gav us a copy+advice, the last dr wouldnt even let me look at the sa results sheet let alone gv me a copy, she said there is no point...!! Wtf!! Hope i get the nice guy wen i next go bk, so hard us bein at 2 diff hsptls, an diff drs an appts, so hard to get both of us time off...!!oh an also my appts keep gettin cancelled the weekend b4 my appt is due that week, we hav even booked our hols around our appts...then they cancel then + reshedual for when i am away...!! + god knws i can not get sum1 to answer the fone each time i call...!! I hav to leave repeted msg's, so dam annoying!! Think we all ad a vent now haha...ur not alone ... Good luck x x

thats terrible you see dif drs all the time.....i know what u mean about leaving msgs when not being able to get through on phone my fs secretary never answers the phone & there is always a msg thing....i leave like 5 msgs & she still doesnt get bk to me!!!!xx

i knw, its a nightmare...apparently when i booked my nxt visit i ask y am i seein diff drs+ why hav my appts been cancelled last min twice, they said they r short staffed...! An when i rang an left about4msgs to say i would b away when they reshedualled appt last time, no1 called bk, my mum rang 3times when i was away...i came home to a letter to say i didnt turn up to my appt...?? X x

I feel your pain. Maybe you should specify what doc you want to see. You are the patient and you are in control!! I work in the medical field and our number one goal is patient care! Bing "short staffed" is a sad excuse not to do your job. That really makes me so furious!! I hope you get that "nice guy" this is your body and it deserves to be treated in the right way.

thanks me too...id rather just both of us c my db's dr he is lovely+consistant+even after seein my db's sa result he stil insisting i get my tubes checked (i so agree) fingers crossed 4next appt...lets hope its not yet another dr!! Good luck x x

I had to reschedule my HSG test because I was in the process of ovulating so I have to wait until next month if I dont get a this month. I would really like to know if my tubes are blocked. good luck to you for your next appt!!

The Ob that I saw. It seems like they don’t want to help you when it comes with having another child. The OB I went to see, felt that since I have 2 kids, that there isn’t anything wrong with me, and I can still get pregnant. But see I told that depo shot back in 2006 and I haven’t been the same since. She doesn’t want to do any test on my hormone levels; I had to really talk her into giving me a trans-vaginal ultrasound to see what’s going on. It’s been 2 years now since we have been trying. I even wanted to see if I’m ovulating. I don’t have $10 million dollars to see a RE. So I know what you are talking about. Do they have a group in this section who having a hard time getting pregnant and also been on the depo-shot?

I never see my consultant either seen her once on the 4 times i have been!!
There so annoying, esepcially trying to get hold of them and leaving messages just like u said when its always an answer machine and they never ring you back!!
