Well my little bundle arrived at 37 weeks exactly. I had been having braxtin hicks all day and generally wasn't feeling well. Very flushed with lots and lots of pressure down below and in my thighs. By 10 o clock Monday night I was still considering whether to go to the hospital to be checked or not but decided I best go just in case. Got to hospital at 10.20 and was examined and was 2 cm but not yet in labour but close so midwife told me to walk for an hour and she would re examine. So that's what we did and low and behold after the hour I had gone into labour. Babies heart beat was dipping with contractions so they attached a clip to his head for closer monitoring. My waters went at 12.25 when contractions immediately came on thick and fast. Really on too of each other and some were literally lasting 4-5 mins. It was pure agony. At 2.30 I asked to be checked to see was I progressing and that would help me make my kind up whether I wanted the epidural or not. Midwife checked and told me I was still 2 cms so I said ok I want the epi.
The epi was administered at 3.02 and at 3.20 I was still feeling all the contractions as much as I had been and I atarter to want to push. Midwife checked and I was fully dilated. I went from 2 to full in less then 20 mins and my little man Eoghan was born after 2 big pushes at 3.25 am weighing in at 7lb exactly. :cloud9: :cloud9:
cant believe how quick things happened in the end but just glad that all is ok with my little son and its all over. . Im still in hospital getting home at some stage today.
Cant post pic at the moment. Will try do it from the laptop when im home.
Good luck to you all awaiting the arrivals of your very special bundles soon xxx

Congratulations!! x
