My poor baby!

I got the biggest scare ever today! My 18month old nain had found a coin on the sofa and i told him to give me the coin and he shook his head no and guess what he did!? He put the coin in his mouth and tilted his head back and started choking! I ran and grabbed him and started to pat his back until the coin came out. I feel like a bad mommy because i should of seen the coin first. Im soo mad @ myself right now. I dont think i could had forgiven myself if something had happen to nain. i got so scared that afterwards i just was holding him and i didnt want to let go, but him being a toddler wanted me to let go and let him play.lol. Im still a little shaken hope that never happens again.

Yea i know. I use to babysit my nephew and niece but its different. I just feel like this is MY baby im his mommy i should protect him from anything. I guess its just scarier when it happens to your child. Ok i need to relax *takes a big breath* i think im becoming way to over protective.lol.

Glad hes ok hun. I had a simular experince with Alex, hes 4months and was sleeping in his cot while i was washing up, i heard a faint coughing/choking noise so ran to his cot (dont think ive ever moved so fast in my life). He had pulled his blanket up over his face and was suffocating.... I screamed my OH and picked LO up.
I burst into tears sayin "I nearlly killed him omg omg" and wouldnt put him down, I didnt leave him asleep for a few days after and kept thinking 'what it', i still do.

I felt so awful, like a really really S**t mum
But these things do happen, and Alex has a sleeping bag at night now and blankets tucked in SUPER TIGHT during the day.

Glad hes ok hun and hope you will be too xx

Glad he is ok too. Its just the worst feeling ever isnt? When i saw him choking i felt like someone was ripping my heart out of my chest.
