He is the worst that the specialist has seen. Poor little thing, broke my heart.

Louis had his done at 3 weeks, his was bad too. How come this is the third time hun? It's bad enough for the mum to go through once so can only imagine how heart wrenching it must have been for you, at least it's over and relatively painless for a LO xx

It's when the tissue (frenulum)that attaches the tongue to the floor of the mouth is too short so the tongue can't move freely. There are differing degrees. It can make feeding very difficult x

It's when his tongue is attached tightly to the bottom of his mouth. When he was born he was tied 100% and tight so he couldn't move his tongue. It grew back 70% and thick and it was re cut as he couldn't feed. Its grown back again and there was scar tissue.

The process is simply him being lay on a bed being swaddled
and his head held by someone (I couldn't, so my mom had to) and they snip it with surgical scissors.

There is no pain relief and it bled loads.

OMG that sounds awful no pain relief, poor LO

It'll ease one he starts weaning, but he is struggling on both breast and bottle.
