My Sofa

Im fed up with it! It was given by OH nana and it was really nice,really comfy and cream colored. Not sure what material though. It was like new when we got it and since has gotted filthy with Connah getting god knows what on it and OH in his mucky work clothes etc.

We tried throws but they never seem to be big enough and look crappy

Were moving to a new house soon and i need to do something with the sofa so it looks good in the living room. But i dont know what!
At the mo we have brown throws and cream and brown cushions. Ideally for it to match the living room the sofa would need to be black.

Any ideas what i could do to make it look better?

you can change the material hun. they take it off and put new one on.

You could always give it a go sewing some up yourself but not sure if you feel that ambitious about it, LOL....my mother-in-law did that with her couches and it gave them a lift. She just used regular fabric and tucked down the excess under the couch or under the cushions. It was grand but she didn't have small children running amok either, lol..

I doubt it would be that much..
I've seen them do it on programmes like 60 minute makeover.. where they strip the sofa.. and then cover it again using a staple gun to attach the material under the sofa and then just get some different cushion covers made.

Im sure you'd be able to find cushion covers off ebay!

There are companys that come and clean your sofas hun,have a look on yell.com or google.My sister got hers cleaned and it came up really good!x

Or if you can remove the covers what about getting some fabric dye and colouring it Black?There is usually a label on the covers inside that should say what material it is.x

With the fabric that it is made from it would probs go gray instead,You can take off the seat cushions and the back cushions but its the actual sofa part that i can get off.

Bt i reckon i could cover the entire sofa part with some fabric xx
