My poor man has the stomach virus. He has been vomitting and has had diarrhea since lunch time. I don't like seeing my baby ill . He is not a water drinker at all.

Any advice on what I could give him to drink that won't upset his stomach more than it already is? Also, I want to make sure he doesn't get dehydrated.

i think they advise small sips of water every now and again.
do they do a kind of pediatric diarolyte?

I've seen pedialyte (which is a drink for children for dehydration), but it's expensive and I don't have the money for it at the moment.

hmmmmmmm im not sure i know you have to avoid acidy drinks like orange and you have to avoid milk.
maybe ask your pharmacy?! sorry i arent much help!
i hope hes better soon! poor little man! x

is there no way you could get the medicine? i know i've been in a chemist once and they could see i really needed what i was buying and the chemist gave it for free. it seems a shame for your LO to suffer! when Laila had this bug i was told to give her dry toast and sips of water, little and often xx

Id avoid milk and just give him squash or whatever he normally drinks as long as he is getting fluid! The dr told me to give him whatever liquid (except milk) that he will drink. So i gave him squash in a bottle! Hope he is better soon x

Awww poor kid, I hate it when children are sick, thats a horrible bug for anyone to get, especially someone so young. Hope he gets better soon. :hugs: xxx

The brat diet, Banana, Rice, Apple and toast and water/weak juice, little and often. As horrible as they are, tummy bugs only last a few days and unless they are dehydrated badly, little a Dr can do. Please don't worry too much, just go with the flow and he'll get there xxx get well soon little man xxx
