mybaby drinks so much milk and cluster feeds is it normal?

Ive been EFF for 2 days now all the time before i was breast feeding my LO used to cluster feed at night time so now even on formula she still seems to be cluster feeding when i say cluster feeding she took like 18oz in the space of a 2-3 hours yesterday she drank 27oz in 3-4 hour what the hell is this all about lol is this normal or do you think i should be seeing my HV

WHAT THE HELL a 3 month old taking 18 and 27 ounces in such a short space of time - theres something wrong there! Ide tlk to HV? Isnt she sick?

nope she just guzzles it down she takes between 9-10oz sometimes in the day aswell every 3 hours

hi hun that does seem a lot in a short space of time. I would carry on feeding on demand until you can have a chat with your hv, just to ask her advice. I have always been told that babies won't over feed themselves. What is the total oz's she has in 24 hours? Jx

she has taken 36oz so far today between 7:30am and 9:30pmish

that is a lot of milk! I don't get my lo to drink that much now! On the other hand, i know other ladies on here who have hungry babies and its not a problem. Just keep feeding your lo on demand and mention to your hv next time that you lo seems to be a big eater! Jx
