What age did your Lo stop wriggling when getting.g nappy changed? I can't get his nappy on properly coz he's turned over & walked away!

Mine gets up and runs!Or tries to kick me:wacko:

Lol, its impossible! I end up sticking him in the shower if he's poo'd &cleaning floors from "nappy free" time!

My LO is still too little for this to be a problem (another thing to look forward to!), but could you introduce a favourite toy or song/game that he only ever gets after a successful nappy change? May take a little while to get established and may mean removing a fav toy from everyday play.

I have the same problem. Jessica flips over the moment I put her on her mat, I hate nappy change time at the minute, as I feel like I'm wrestling with her lol

My Dh hates it too, as he's frightened he might hurt her, he doesn't want to be too rough, but she is soooo strong lol

The only thing that helps sometimes is giving her something to hold that grabs her attention. Jessicas favourite at the moment is a yellow shuttlecock! A bit random, I know, but her toys just don't cut it when it's change time! Other things that help are ........... earphones(she likes to twiddle the wires!), her hairbrush, her tube of cream, basically anything she is not supposed to play with, but it's ok as I'm there watching her!

Hope this helps, I feel your pain:dohh:

ha ha for me the wriggling wasnt too bad for for my dh both our kids have had issues with his changing technique lol maybe he has cold hands lol our son stopped wriggling and started doing the stretched out wooden leg thing, in fact our 3 week old daughter has mastered this already lol when he got a bit bigger he started pushing himself backwards with his feet lol

some kids just hate nappy changes and i suppose if you are cold handed like my hubby then they will try and wriggle their way out for a long time lol

I'm suffering with this problem too  After a 10 minute battle with Olivia last week, trying to get a clean nappy on her I decided to go and buy some pull up nappys. Perfect! Wouldnt use them at night etc but for during the day when she is too busy to lay down and let me put a normal nappy on this is a pretty good comprimise.

My LO flips, twists and crawls off. Same goes for getting clothes on her. It's like dressing a rabid monkey.

Ugh! Nappy changes are hell at the moment. It has gotten worse since 9mths!

Same for dressing! The first nappy change in the morning is the easiest for us so i dress her as soon as i do the first nappy change!

Oh my goodness! I totally relate! Benjamin has been a rolling fool for months now and diaper changes are awful!

I started doing all kinds of things to get the kid to lie still. Things that work:

*Make goofy faces
*Give him a toy
*Give him a baby wipe - for some reason, he LOVES these
*Sing the ABCs
*Sing ANY song
*Talk in an ultra-silly voice

Anything that distracts your little one will work!

Some great advice in here thanks guys, I'll try the ones I've not tried before.

Still waiting for it to get better, she screams like she's being murdered
