Hi All

Just wasted to know at what age your toddlers stopped having a nap  in the day? Only my son is 27 months and he hates going down for a nap in the day. When he does have a nap for and hour its another nightmare in the evening to get him to sleep. However when he misses the nap in the day he is more than ready for bed come night time. Is it to soon to cut the daytime nap out?

My friends little girl is 30 mths old & she finds her dd can't last all day without a nap without being horrible so she tries to drive somewhere at around 3ish and let's her have a 10-20 min nap in the car. It sees her to bedtime and means shes tired enough to go straight to sleep. She was refusing to nap at all at home though. :flower:

Our oldest stopped napping regularly at about 27mos, but our youngest is 2.5 and still naps every day like clock work for 2.5-3hrs. Our oldest naps 2-3 times a week during the day. It really depends on how much activity he's had. I don't bother pushing it though. We just have quiet time and I let him watch some educational T.V./movie while his brother naps. It gives me quiet time and I can get stuff done. It keeps me sane!

My LO has only just recently started to refuse her naps. She wont nap in the cot or the buggy so on days when she's at nursery or my mums she doesn't nap and she sleeps really well. Only in the last couple of weeks she's been ok in the afternoons with no nap, before that she would be ridiculously grumpy but now she's ok.

On days when she's at home i'll sometimes take her out in the car and give her a nap, but i wont let her nap for longer than 1 hour and not after 2pm. If she does sleep she's in a horrible mood when i wake her as she'll still be tired but if i don't wake her she'll still be awake at 10pm!

DD was about 30 months she jsut stopped and cut them out sometimes its a nightmare keeping her awake till 7 but other days shes fine
i think she averages 1 a month maybe 2 that last about an hour each think its like catch up lol but getting her to bed after that is hell shes always gone 7-7:30 but after a nap can be 9-10 when i hear her stop reading in her room (she has a torch she uses lol)
