Help! Morning sickness is now taking over my life. It's gotten so bad that it's hard to take care of my daughter and I'm not sure how much longer I can work. I've already tried Saltines and they don't seem to help.

Any suggestions??

I never would have thought of that. Seems like the last thing I'd want to have when feeling like throwing up, but I'll def give it a try! Thanks!

Yeah me too but was at a christening today and the sight of the buffet made my stomach turn and they had carrot and celery sticks and i thought it was the most plain tasteless thing there and i was so suprised . . . So much so i picked about 10 bits up and hid them in my handbag to eat ha ha ha x

for me, hot drinks work wonders, like hot water mixed with lemon and honey, or hot apple cider

Jello, applesauce, yogurt, Popsicles...my ms varies by day but I always eat things that can come back up nicely just in case. You can also try smoothies, milkshakes, etc. I found that crackers just made me gag more. Lemon drop candies work too!

Acupuncture! It's definitely magic!

I find chewing gum sometimes helps.. or salt and vinegar chips (crisps).

I havent found anything to make my nausea go away, Ive only eaten once today so far and I feel horrible after. Just havent thrown up yet.

I heard peppermint tea works for ms. I have a lot in my cabinet so Im thinking of giving it a try the next time I feel like crap.

I've found I hate anything even remotely sweet but pickles, lemon, spicy stuff helps me for some reason. Also eating real food with protein every two or three hours before I get hungry helps too. I've started setting an alarm to remind me to stop and eat.

In my last pregnancy, sea bands worked wonders! Ginger. Ginger tea. Ginger ale (real stuff).

If you're in the states, there is a miracle prescription drug Zofran that works wonders for ms. And is safe during pregnancy. Its been my life saver at the moment, allowing me to work and function normally, take care of my kids, etc.

I heard apple cider isn't good for it or is that just in the two period maybe trying to conceive? I'd like to know cuz I been craving apples apple juice apple anything lol I'm 5 weeks along

Wow thank you everyone!! After trying almost everything (minus acupuncture and sea bands) I called the dr this morning and they prescribed me to Zofran and Phengran. I didn't want to take any drugs but I cannot function like this, or eat healthy so if it is something that will help me to get all the proper nutrients and take care of my daughter and go to work without feeling miserable then I'll take it, plus a dr wouldn't prescribe anything that's not safe for baby!

I have to second Bluewings' comment about sea bands - I've been feeling pretty much constant nausea (but no actual vomiting) with this pregnancy. I got my sea bands from amazon this morning and they have definitely taken the edge off.

They didn't work at all in my first pregnancy but I think my sickness was just too severe (HG). Fingers crossed they keep working.

Sea bands help, from the chemist if you can get hold of them. I found grapes really helped me with Coralie, that and any dry cracker or biscuit.
