Has anyone been to one of these?
Hubby took me to one very locally this morning. It was free entry and people take nearly new baby items to sell
For £25 I got....
Mothercare Maternity long denim skirt worn once
Topshop maternity dress
DP maternity top
One top and Tail bowl unused
3 baby towels with hoods all unused in pack
4 unisex bibs sealed
One jacket with hood really good condition
Three rompers all with tags still on (Probably unused gifts)
one three piece sleep suit mothercare really good condition

They had moses baskets and cribs that looked brand newall for £25.
Did not get them though as I have set my heart on a specific one x

there's one coming up here in November I think it is and I can't wait :) hoping to get some good bargains. Although, I've been told the one's here have crazy queues so not looking forward to that :( I'll need to go on my own as I'm finding out the sex but hubby doesn't want to know until the birth so any gender specific clothes would be a dead give away. I'll have to be the one elbowing people out the way of any bargains I spy :)

I went to one last pregnancy - it was rammed absolutely rammed with people pushing and shoving.... I couldn't really get to the seller tables and when I did the stuff was very overpriced (IMHO) nothing like the fab bargains op found. I ended up having scrummy cakes in the cafe bit! You had to pay £1 to get in but you got a bag of free sample things like non bio washing powder which was well worth the £1 as there were some good bits in there.

I have been to ones before that have been good (but this was 10 years ago with ds1) but that was a different bigger venue - maybe my last exp was just unlucky - there is another one end of september in a different location so I may try that.

The one we went to yesterday had an Awful car accident at the in entrance it was at a school and there was a three car shunt. The front car had a baby in it she looked fine but it was opposite the local fire station and the fire trucks had blocked the road and they were cutting the middle guy out of his car. It looked awful
we parked in the supermarket and walked across
it was pretty quiet in there with not much jossling
hubby is 6ft 4 so he was keeping me safe as there was one or two crazy running toddlers at bump height and one woman did get a little elbow happy by the maternity wear.

Have many of you actually signed up to NCT? I am considering doing so as I know they have social events etc and I am very keen to meet some fellow mums especially as I am going to be a single mum and don't want to feel lost and lonely when the baby comes.
