i went for a growth scan today to check her weight and i was in there for like an hour the doctors said they was discussing wether yo induce me or not then they decided on not doin it.. i must admit i was slighty dissapointed when they said no!!! it would of been nice knowing she was gonna be here in the next weeks or so but never mind looks like i'll have to wait..

also she isnt even engagd yet!!! should she be??
when do babies normally engage?

if shes head down i wouldn't worry hun shes obviously knows which way is out !! she could engage at any time !!

Oooh why was they going to induce you?

Not sure when they engage, I know baby is at the brim but have an appointment on Wednesday so fingers crossed he is engaged.

Hope everything is ok x

Are u measuring small or big hun? 1st time babies can engage from 34weeks onwards, but it's not uncommon for them to only engage during labour! x

they was gonna induce cause ive been in hospital 3 times with low fetal movement but they said as long as she is moving ok and her growth is ok they wont induce me

OMG no way!!! That's very big!! God, if they were discussing induction in front of me and then decided against it I would have been like ''Noooooooo!!'' I know growth scans aren't completely accurate, and can be a few lbs off here or there but that's still very big! x

That'll be why she hasn't engaged, as bigger babies often don't engage until labour.

i no when they said no i was a little dissapointed and wanted to say please do it lol!! yeah she defo gonna be a big girl lol

Usually if the baby is that big early on they will induce. So i doubt they will let you carry full term, that baby would be too big!

Well I have my fingers crossed for u hun that they either change their mind, or she isn't really as big as they think!!! :flower: xx

Hope everything goes ok hun, do you have to go back again for any more check ups?? x

Fingers crossed for you, as already said hope she is not as big as they think x

aw, wouldn't worry about the size thing - the number of people told they have a massive baby and then they come out a pretty average size! (one of my friends had an 8lb baby 1 week late after being told at 35 weeks it was going to be at least 10lb and might need to be induced early)

Holy Moly thats a big baby, my cousins first was measuring really big too but they wouldnt induce her and he was 10lb 9oz born... I have the opposite problem, my baby is small, I had a previous section but wanted a natural birth this time and they are refusing to induce me at my due date as I was hoping! They said I have to go to 42weeks :-(

well its diff for everyone at the latest its usualy 37 weeks with first baby... although my LO was 2/5s engaged at midwife appointment last week i can tell hes on his way to bee 3/5s as im getting that awful headbutt the cervix feeling lol...
