I want to cloth nappy DD but I don't know which nappies to buy.

I like the look of close pop in nappies with bamboo for night time use but I've read they are really bulky, so I probably wouldn't use them for day use.

I need recommendations & opinions.

DD is a big pooper, I'm talking 10-15 daily so I dunno whether wed need AIO or AI2's for day time use.

She isnt a heavy wetter, she has one large pee in the morning.

I like the idea of one size nappies as it would save a lot of money so I think most nappies I brought would have to be one size but i think id like some sized nappies too.

Knowing all this can you give me recommendations? PLEASE. :)

The best thing to do is to try several different things and see what works for you. What works for my LO might not for yours, and it may not work in your home either.

I wouldn't really advise Pop-ins for night as they aren't absorbent enough after the first few months, and once you put the night booster in, it will make the nappy harder to fit on an older baby. I couldn't fasten one around my 10 month old with the night booster in! However, they may work on a younger baby but I wouldn't expect them to last through to potty training. They are pretty good for days and aren't all that bulky when you don't use the night booster so could be a good option for daytimes for you. I'd say it's worth trying one.

When your LO poos, does it go all over the inside of the nappy or is it more contained to a small area of the nappy? If it is fairly contained, I would probably look at systems where you can replace an insert rather than having to change the whole nappy. These systems are usually called hybrid systems. Examples are Flips, GroVia hybrid, G-Nappy, SwaddleBees Capris. This will cut down on the washing a bit as you'll not have to wash the whole thing, just change the insert. You can't do that with pocket nappies though. That said, your LO is still very young so it's hard to say what she'll need as she gets older. She may stop pooing so much and may wee more or less. Also at her age she might still be a bit young for one size nappies, depending on her shape. You could start trying them now but some babies don't fit OS nappies until 8 weeks old so don't let it put you off if you need to set them aside for a few weeks.

I would try a little of everything to see what suits you. Reading about nappies and using them can be very different! Bit of a plug here but I wrote an article about making your own trial kits. If you look at the table on it for babies older than 4-8 weeks, those are nappies I like in each situation. https://www.theflufflady.co.uk/?p=1877
