need help cm question

hey ladies me again, i just checked my cm and it was a clearish white and alittle sticky, how do you know if that is fertile cm or just discharge? i never check my cm but i heard if it is stickish or whitish that means o happened or will happen? can anyone shed some light on how cm works? i took opk tonight but it was just a faint line

I have trouble trying to work out the differences between CM.Mine is just staring to appear and its a little sticky but not overly and i havnt OV'd yet im on CD15.Ive been doing OPK since CD13 and there are faint lines.I normally OV CD17-18
