I need some information from my fellow mommies,

Trying to make a long story short.....
Sunday I had an unusual uneasy feeling, just didn't feel well.
    Wednesday night...I experienced menstrual cramping.
Last night (Friday-Saturday) I woke up to menstrual cramping and low back pain.

Call nurse and went in....I was having contractions/bh regularly with low back/pelvic achiness. I had dilating 1cm. But they said my cervix is hard and long. They gave me a I shot of med to relax my uterus and sent my home.

Is this preterm labour?? Or normal during 3rd trimester?

I am only 24 weeks, but pg with twins. My uterus is about 28 or so cm high from pelvic bone up. Should I be concerned??

I've heard twins tend to come a bit early... So you are for all intents and purposes probably in your last trimester now. Main trouble is lungs aren't ready at 24 weeks...

I'm sure the hospital and your doctors are doing all the right things! Just do your bit and try to rest and take it easy as much as you can. Let those babies rest and grow as much as they can before they have to come out!!!!

Wishing you all health and happiness!

I had that too for a day or two, cranked the calcium/magnesium vitamins and it went away. With twins, we really need more than normal. 1500 mg a day should do it. I never did go in, just took the cal/mag.

Thank u so much for ur replies....I am working on not doing too much. I get bored though.
I will definitely look into the vits mamato2more talked about.

My heart will just break if they come before 36 wks or so.

I really hope that they stay put for you. Maybe you should have a look over in the premature babies section, mums over there may be able to give you some advice. best of luck. :hugs:

I am sure you will be fine!

They have sent you home as they feel this is not something to keep you in hospital for - good luck :flower:

im sorry i dont know, i hope they hang on in there for a good bit yet - hosp should have given you more info though and if you are worried just call and query what happened asking them to explain in more detail what it all means - hosps seem to be awful for just sending people away without giving full explanations, and 9/10 times we are sat worrying for nothing x

Yeah...they did just send me home and seems clueless as to whether it was preterm labor or nothing to worry about. I had more cramping last night but it cleared today. I also had spotting...but it was old blood...so I called, they said it was more than likely from the cervical check yesterday.

I'll visit the premature board to get more info.

Thank you for caring and for the replies..xox
