I have been craving profiteroles for days, so I went to the shop and bought them and consumed 4 medium sized profiteroles. I read the packet as I was putting the rest in the fridge and it says 'contains alcohol' the ingredients don't even state what alcohol, it just says alcohol?
Is eating alcohol in a dessert ok? I haven't touched a drop in the pregnancy. It'll be such a small amount right?
Sorry if you're sat there thinking 'over the top mother' .. But when I googled it just said 'no amount of alcohol, no matter how small is considered safe' :nope:

Lots of women in the third trimester section have been enjoying their mulled wine this year. I'm sure baby will be fine <3 x

They have to say that because it would be unethical to test the effects of alcohol and how much are ok for a developing baby, the same way a lot of meds aren't recommended for pregnancy, it's because they can't test it not because they know for sure that it's dangerous.

If you couldn't taste it then it must have been a really tiny amount. How far down the list of ingredients was the alcohol? (No idea why they would be in profiteroles though)

Make your own (they're super easy) and you won't have to worry about it :)

I don't know how helpful this might be, but reading g it it sounds like it's a tiny amount, and possibly cooked out. I think you should be just fine, but naxt time you eat them make sure you get them without, just to be sure!!!
:hugs:
