A little history and current status for my health and issues I am dealing with in trying to get pregnant:
36 yrs old almost 37 boo
18 yr old daughter
Diagnosed with PCOS 5 yrs ago
1500 mg Metformin daily for past 5 yrs
100-200 mg Spironolactone daily (weaning off to get preg because I understand the potential harmful affects to a fetus)
Diagnosed with 2 Uterine fibroids last year that are steady in size (3 & 2.8 cm)
Pelvic exam this month also shows:
Right ovary with 'slightly complex hemorrhagic cyst' 2.1 cm.
Left ovary shows a 'dominant 3.5 cm cyst with single thing septation' 3.5 cm.
I have what I believe is a luteal phase defect. For 1.5 years I have had an average 20 day cycle.
April 13'- 50 mg Clomid- did nothing had 22 day cycle- Prog test was 0.2- CD22
May 13'- 100 mg Clomid- did nothing had 22 day cycle- Prog test was 0.7- CD22
My progesterone has always been low and my doctor recently prescribed me C-Progesterone 10% cream to use 2 pumps daily which I believe is 200 mg. Should I be taking more or pill form?
I am 5'4". 165 lbs (maintain 4 yrs), used to weigh 215 before I was diagnosed with PCOS. I work out 4-5 days a week faithfully and am now on a low calorie diet to lose some more weight in hopes that will help me and of course just to get at a healthy weight in general.
Is there hope for me? Anyone have similar issues and now pregnant? Do I need to see an RE? My insurance only covers diagnoses of infertility via specialist but no treatment. My obgyn prescribed the clomid because I asked. I would rather fix root issue? Help.
