I am in a similar situation, except this is will be my second child, but we had actively tried for 5 years after my daughter turned 2 nad never didn't try in 7 years and had nothing but disappointment.
I went for a consult to a fertility specialist since I was about to turn 36 and we wanted to give it a real go at having a second c hild. Turns out I was pregnant as I sat in that appt!
That being said I've been far more anxious this pregnancy despite feeling more pregnant - nausea, food aversions, nipple soreness, fatigue. I'm taking it all as a good sign!
Our dating u/s is in 2 days and I think I will feel better after that!
