New Avent Bottles

Hi ladies,

DD was FF with Avent bottles. As we still have the steam steriliser it makes sense to stick with the brand.

However, when I looked in the shop they seem to have 2 different types of bottles now.

They have durable and extra durable and antic colic 1 piece teats and also anti colic 2 parts ring and teat

I'm so confused. Does anyone understand the differences and which ones I should get?

no idea what the difference is. i have both and personally can't see a difference between them...

I have both too. The only difference I notice is when I put the lid on the one without rings, if you dont put the lid on a certain way it leaks.
I prefer the ones with the rings but do use the other for certain feeds as I have different amounts in that bottle than others as I know LO will take less/more for that feed.

Actually, I remember with the bottles I used last time they used to leak (usually when OH overtightened them).

I think I'll get the ones with rings if they help with the leaks....they're cheaper too!

I prefer the ones without the rings - less pieces to wash etc. Cant really see much of a difference tho tbh.

I think I'll get the ones with rings if they help with the leaks....they're cheaper too!

i use the ones with the rings and they still leak, especially when u shake them up hot they drive me nuts but there great bottles, i find they only leak if the milk is really hot or overtightened

We use the blue ones with the rings. With these if you tighten them a little they don't leak xx

One type is plasticy feel bottles and has 2 piece, the other is honey coloured bottle and one piece, with harder better feel plastic? Can't remember why it's diff coloured, but i didn't like the feel of the 2 piece ones

i use both types of bottle and they both sometimes leak, normally when the water is still too hot

Mine only leak when i forget the ring! The honey ones I don't have an issue with leaking. My LO doesn't like them though. They come out a little fast for him it seems even with the NB nipple. We haven't really used bottles so that might be the issue too.
