New job - how to tell boss?

Help! I'm only 6 months into this job and 16 weeks pregnant. I'm terrified to tell my boss. She is nice and a mother herself but I feel horrible because I just started and I will be out for 4 months starting in may. Any tips? Also when should I tell her? I'm not showing at all yet. Scared.

awhh hun don't worry about feeling nervous to tell your boss. I told mine right when I found out, and I believe i just got over my 3 month probation at work at that time. There's nothing she would be able to do when you tell her. It would be a different story if you started at that job a few weeks ago, but you'll waaaaay further into it. So you'll be fine!

Everything will be ok and she might thank you for not waiting any longer so she has time to find proper replacement while you're gone.
