A few days after i got home from the hospital i weighed myself and i was down about 20lbs from the last time i'd weighed myself in pregnancy. I HAVE NOT been watching what i eat yet (woops) It is difficult enough to remember to eat let alone to remember to eat healthily  But I weighed myself today (4 days after the last time) and i have lost 6 lbs  I was by far not a small person pre pregnancy but i am nearing my pre pregnancy weight effortlessly.

Thank You Breastfeeding!!!

May i add... it isnt just about weight... my mw says my uterus is going back very very well (thanks to RLT?) I also look thinner than i did before i got pregnant even though i havent reached the same weight iykwim. My tummy is still jiggly but i am certain i have lost inches.

Wow lucky you! I really hope I have the same experience when my time comes. It's heartening to hear it.
xx

Go girl...theres hope for us all!!! Xxx

Waheyyy! I am so encouraged to read this. I speak to thechaosismex off the board as well, and she has also lost a couple of stone since she had her baby a couple of weeks ago. So encouraging! :D

Well done you!

Thanks for sharing this it's so encouraging to hear!

yay for breastfeeding cant wait to do and get on a diet again and see weight come off !!

Well done you! That's what I wanted to hear, hope it happens for me too.

I'm glad to hear it, although that certainly wasn't the case for me! I breastfed my last for over 4 years and it didn't help at all!

But I am happy for you! :-D

I'm a new mum too and put on 3 stone whilst pregnant, had my daughter 5 weeks ago and am now only 6lb over my pre pregnancy weight (which was a healthy weight BMI 24).

I have not done any dieting/exercising etc, just surviving with a new little one! I am exclusively breastfeeding (that is really demanding but i get so proud each time my daughter gains weight!).

I've always really struggled keep my weight down too so was so chuffed that its come off easy, got to the point when pregnant that hated people seeing me. What i'm trying to say is dont worry girls you'll be fine!

Wow that is great news. I can't wait to see if I am able to do the same. I don't want to diet or anything but feeling so heavy throughout the last few weeks of pregnancy means that I would dearly love to shed some excess pounds as soon as poss after bubs is born just to feel a little more human again!

Yesss! Can't wait to see if this happens for me with the breast feeding. Thanks for sharing - and LOVE the pic of your little one! :)
