My son will be 3 next month.
And he went through a stage of having full blown tantrums if he didnt get his way, where he'd kick, punch, scream...launch himself on the floor...
I ignored him. He got out of it quickly.

Now, if he doesnt get his own way he legs it out of the room, into another and SCREAMS at me from there, i reply "i will not talk to you until you come here!"
and he just carrys on :growlmad:

Right now, hes having one, and hes slowly coming out of it, but hes been in it for 25 minutes :hissy:

Any advice?

Emily is 5 and hers are like this, her mum just takes her to her room and sits it out.

Me and her dad give her a minute warning before she looses a toy or privelidge. I find its easier if she does start to calm to go to her and get down to her level and do the whole talking to/ explaining why she couldnt have or do what she wanted to start the tantrum in the first place.

I always try to offer an alternative if i can but if the tantrum then starts up again she goes on the naughty spot for 5 mins and has to go to her room and pick a toy to go in the naughty box (she has to earn things back)

No idea if this will help but i didnt want to read and run. x

I do the step but i worry when he is like that he will hurt himself.
But im going to put the naughty box in place, thats a good idea!! Thanks.
