Hi All, I am new and a little overwhelmed. I am so happy to have found a place to read other's thoughts, wishes, struggles, etc. A little introduction to me: I have been with my husband for almost ten years and married for over two. We have been seriously TTC for 5 months now. Each month a little harder. I went off of birth control a year ago and we were just using condoms till we were ready to start. I honestly thought I would get pregnant the first month. Haha. I was wrong. Trying to stay positive. Just got my period and a BFN yesterday. I guess we are on to month 6. Glad to be here :)

Welcome!! Hope you get your BFP soon! I am only on my first month trying :)

welcome.im hayley and im 26

ive had tests and scans and waiting now for results.

anytime you want to chat im here x

Good luck to you!!!

Hi there! I'm sort of new to this forum as well:) I'm 26 and we've been TTC for 9 months... no known problems... I understand about each month getting harder and I also feel like Haley where some months are better than others! Good Luck! What all are you trying to get your BFP? We've tried Preseed, EPO, BBT temping, OPK's and this month vitamin b6 (was going to try softcups also but I missed by O day due to the EPO causing me to O early... not happy!!)

Baby Dust!:)

I've tried pre seed and soft cups, which I didnt like. Don't see the point in them, as they say the sperm goes where it's got to in a matter of seconds so doesn't really matter if you put your feet up etc
Tried EPO but then heard your only meant to take it certain days and because I've got such long cycles I didn't want to judge it wrong.
Tried agnus castus and all vitamins, conception plus or just folic acid and multiple vitamins.
I have just bought a clearblue Fertility monitor, heard nothing but good things about them. They will give you a definately ovulation or not, got to wait to Start my period before I can Start using it tho. Looking forward to finding out if I O or not hopefully x

Good luck! I think if it doesn't work for me this time, I might buy one too... wish I could find one that's used...seem's like it would be a great consignment type product since women really only need them til they reach their goal! Let us know how you like it!:)

Mine was brand new for £60 but I watched loads on eBay and the cheapest, used was 45 the most was 55. I will let you all know xx

Soon2Bee & workin4alivin - welcome to the forums! They're a god send! :)

mummy.wannabe - definitely let us know how you get on with the monitor! If AF arrives I'll be thinking of getting one so it'll be interesting to see what you make of it. Hope it brings you luck!

Hi, I am 28 and also new to TTC. This is our 2nd cycle and i am already becoming obsessed!!! It is crazy that you spend so long trying to prevent getting pregnant and then when the time comes it doesn't happen that quickly!!!

I'm using OPKs this month as I am not sure if I O as only came off BCP in September. F'xd that 2nd line shows up soon. Also bought some preseed as heard good things.

I agree it is a life line having somewhere to chat - don't really want to tell people we're trying and I'm sure my DH gets bored of all my questions and comments!!!

:dust: to all

I know what you mean! My DH & DM must be going demented from listening to me so now I try to reserve all my crazy for on here!

Karry1412 - when are you testing - Fri?

I am waiting to Ov this month. My DH is already laughing at my 'pee in a cup time'. Just really want it to work out this month but its really tough when he is only here at weekends. I am very jealous of the BD marathons otheres can have - lol. :sex:

That must be tough alright. I hope you ov at the weekend when hubby is around. Keep me posted?

I'll be testing on Saturday & it can't come quick enough!!!

I have used preseed now for 1 month. I like it. Not sure if it is the miracle worker that I have heard it is, but I'm not giving up yet. I am really enjoying the forum. It is nice to hear others stories.

Hello!
I have just started TTC - trying to decide if I should go off pill mid cycle right now or wait until period starts in two weeks (suggestions?) - hubby and I have been married only two months now!

Any tips on how NOT to go crazy each month? I know in my heart that I am all pyched up and convinced that I will get pregnant first month.... my head says 'stop being a fool the odds are so slim' but I can't stop wishing!

AusGirl86, I can't give you advice on if you should stop BC mid month, but I do know what it feels like to think you should get pregnant the first month. Seems like a lot of people that I know got pregnant the first month of trying. I thought I would to. I didn't, and it was a little hard, but it really is pretty unrealistic. I went to the docs last week and he said that it takes a year for 80% of young healthy couples to get pregnant. It is still hard to get that BFN, but I try and stay positive for the next month. Good luck to you.

Thanks Soon2Bee. I know that it is very unrealistic and I am getting myself up for a heartbreak, but I can't seem to stop it! I'll always have fingers crossed.
Trying to do everything I can in the meantime, started on vitamins, exercise, healthy diet etc.
How has your journey been?

Hi Soon2Bee, I am new too. TTC since October.

That sounds like you're off to a good start anyways!

I found it very hard to relax too but I think once you get over the first cycle or two you relax naturally. I was the same - convinced it worked the last time. But needless to say, it didn't. I'm already more relaxed about the next try so hopefully that'll help.

Good luck! :dust:
