Hi everyone!

(I posted this initially in the wrong forum, but can't delete it for some reason. Sorry for the double post!)

My husband and I have just started TTC our first child! I was on depo provera for several years and lucky enough to get my period back 6 months after stopping the shot. I ovulated over the weekend so hubby and I got down to business.

Today I feel sort of bloated, but not the same as gas bloating. It's almost like a thick feeling in my uterus. Does that make sense? Anyone else experience this a day or two after O?

Looking forward to hearing about everyone's journeys to baby!

It could be any kind of bloating. Did you bloat when you had your period before you got on depo? It's way to early for it to be preg bloat.

Not particularly. The feeling is gone now, it was more like a heavy or thick feeling.
I know it wasn't pregnancy bloat, there wouldn't even be implantation at this point so early on if I were pregnant.
I was just seeing if other women felt anything similar, if it was "normal."

Since I came off desogestrel in February I think I've had every ovulation or pregnancy symptom going! I started to drive myself mad with it lol. I just try to ignore it all now.
I've been interested to notice that I get nauseous at ovulation time, never something I noticed in the past.

I will say that I've been pregnant 3 times (ds1, early mc, ds2) and with each one there were no symptoms! Nothing! I even bled a bit with my first and thought af was arriving, only for it to stop then I noticed a few days later I had dark nipples. I was on holiday so I hadn't really been paying attention. With pregnancy 2 & 3 I Was paying attention and still nothing lol. So you may never truly know until af or you test. I definitely got symptoms a few weeks later with preg 1&3, got the full list then lol, morning Sickness, exhaustion, ligament pain..............

Good luck :dust: xx

Hi BKP, I saw your post and thought I would join in!

DH and I have been TTC for just about a year now. Came off BC and my periods never returned so I was referred to a fertility specialist. After various tests I was diagnosed with PCOS (other than absent periods I have no symptoms so it was a bit of a surprise) and DH's SA came back as normal.

At the end of March we did our first cycle of Clomid at 50mg but I didn't ovulate, so this cycle we are on to 100mg. Currently on CD11, 5 days after taking my final tablet so hoping and praying that I get some signs of O soon!

As for bloating, I swear I get it all the time! I know what you mean about the heavy/thick feeling, I have it at the moment but I think it's probably Clomid related. Trying to convince myself that it means O is near!

Fingers crossed that this TWW will result in good news for you!

Thanks Steph and BabyBrain! It's very strange coming off of depo, no periods for 5 years made me forget what it's like.

I know that it could still be a long time before I get a BFP since we only just started but man, it's so hard not to get your hopes up, isn't it?

Hello! I am also new to the forum. Ttc after 5 years on mirena so I know what you mean about not having periods!! I haven't had mine yet, it's been about 3 weeks from my iud removal. Would love to chat!

Hi ALW!

I'm not sure how it is with mirena, but with depo they said it could take up to a year to get my period back. Luckily it only took 6 months for me, but who knows how long until we can conceive.

My doctor told me it should come back soon but I've read online that it can take a while to get back to normal. So I'm just patiently waiting to see what happens !!!

I think it just depends on what BC you were on, and then just on each person's body anyway. So basically, things could return to normal at any point! (or not in my case!!)

It's impossible not to get your hopes BKP, although for the first few months I guess I wasn't expecting much and as I had no periods couldn't track anything, so I was never too disappointed. Now I'm actually taking fertility medication everything hits me a lot harder and the possibility of having to go through this month after month just seems all too real.

I have found that talking to other ladies on these forums has helped me a lot though. Everyone's situations are so different but we all understand what each other is going through.
