I was prescribed Wellbutrin while I was pregnant with LO. Since it was my OB that gave me the script I didn't worry abt it not being safe. I took it on and off during the 2nd and 3rd trimesters. I wasn't always very diligent. Anyways I just refilled my script and noticed the 2 new warning labels on the bottle say 1) Taking this med during the 3rd tri can cause serious health problems and possible withdrawl for a newborn. 2) It is not advised to take this medication while breastfeeding. These are both new and have never been there before. Does anyone know anything abt this? I'm really scared. Should I stop taking this immediately?

Hmm. I was reading a book last night and it said Wellbutrin can lead to a drop in milk supply?
Medications like that can pass into the milk, but if your baby seems fine (gaining ok, not overly irritable) then it's likely ok.
Found this for you: https://drugsafetysite.com/bupropion/ Says that the drug peaks in milk 2 hours after you take it, so if it's not bothering your milk production, maybe just watch what time you take it?

I wonder if this has anything to do with me not being able to increase my supply no matter what I do.
