I'm a new mummie to be in December :D. eeeek. Coming round to fast. It's the first day of Autumn today!

Anyway... Sorry the questions are a little long and I hope you ladies can answer some of them for me :)

I'm hoping to Breastfeed but I'm thinking about researching into Bottlefeeding just in case peanut doesn't take to the Breast. I'm just wondering about a few questions that might have been asked and answered on here but there are millions of thread. I just can't be bothered searching for them!

- I've read a lot about babies being to hungry and you ladies on here use 'Aptamil Hungry Milk' with working in a nursery and the baby room we provide milk powder for the mini babies who attend and unless parents bring their own we provide them with 'Aptamil Hungry Milk' and it stinks! I hate it! Their nappies smell worse then other babies on different milk and I feel like I just smell of baby powder all day. Does any other of the makes make 'Hungry Milk'?

- Does all babies from newborn have their milk warmed or room-temp? I know it's going to be winter and I enjoy a cheeky warm milky drink before bed or a Hot Chocolate. It's just the night feeds I don't want to be going to down into a freezing kitchen and warming the bottle up but I know that milk can't be left out the fridge for ages.

- What is the best way about being organized when going out for the day regarding, making feeds? Warming? Timing the feeds? Etc?

- A friend I know has a 6 month old and she is Bottlefeeding and she boils the kettle her LO was on 10oz (plus meals) and she'd add 5oz of fresh boiled water then 5oz of tap water before adding the powder and the bottle seemed perfect temp when I held it. Is it okay to us the tap water/boiled water as soon as the kettle clicks? If your in a rush or something?
I've already got a Tommee Tippee Electric Steriliser (Asda Sale £10!) and I got 3 newborn bottles with it. I got in a few freebies and completions a MAM newborn bottle self sterilising one and a Avent newborn colic one. Which I tough cool if I need to Bottlefeed I don't have to get some extra bottles for the first few weeks. But can't LO be fussy about the teat and only stick to one brand?

- Also when do I think about getting the bigger bottles? I'm tempted to ask SIL if I can have her Tommee Tippee Bottles that she's using at the moment for her 2nd whos 5 months nearly. I'll just get new teats. Or do I buy some bottles for myself? I just seem they are a tad expensive.

Cant think of anything else I need to ask. I'll try and search though the threads on here and jot some tips etc down :).

hi....

1) dont use hungry milk unless you have too and yes other brands do it too....

2) most babies have their milk warmed..... you can buy a bottle warmer to leave by your bed to warm for night feeds.. i swore by mine.....

3) as for going out... this will be discussed with your midwife, but i used to make 6 bottles up and put them in the fridge and take out the ones i need if im going out.... and heat them up while im out.... you can boil your water put it in your sterlised bottle then just add the powder when your ready for it, then heat them up...

4) NEVER add tap and boiled water... tap water is not sterlised....... if a bottle is too got stand it in a jug of cold water....... and stick to ONE brand of bottle and teats....

5) you will know when you need big bottles and teats because your baby will tell you....

hope this helps

Thanks petal ;). I know it's all trial and error :D & I have to wait till Peanut is here for everything to fall into place becuase I know full well everything I write down regarding hints and tips etc it'll go out the window due to the simple fact Peanut will not agree with anything I do ;)!

yes just go with what you feel at the time.....x
