Thought i'd best say hi, as i think this is my new home for a while. I am 25 and my husband is 29, we got married in 2009 and we trying for number one for about 9 months up till April this year but it all got a bit much with fertility monitors, temp taking, cervical positions and stuff. So this time around we're using nothing but my period tracker and hope we catch the eggy this time. We're in no rush for a year or so, just want to be relaxed about it, if after a year nothings happened we will try a few other options. Not sure how i'm going to stay relaxed and unobessed

Currently dieting at the moment hoping to help things along. I'm very excited about trying again but very nervous, it will happen and nervous it won't happen, i'm one big ball of emotions at the moment.

Welcome Button! I think that's a wonderful approach; wish I had that attitude, but I think I'm getting there :) I didn't do too much tracking this cycle except my cycle tracker and we BD'd about everyday. Now I'm obsessed with POAS...oh boy!! I am one day late this cycle with no signs of AF...maybe my approach worked this time?! Fx'ed for you!! GL

Welcome Button Bump. It's great to have a very laid back approach I've decided that's the best way otherwise you can get so bogged down in everything else. Wishing you the best of luck

Thank you ladies, i'm hoping my laid back approach works and lasts. Its a bit different this time because it was hubbs idea to try again and before it was me who talked him into it. I'm a bit apprehensive because i'm a larger size, so don't think it will happen yet, but hubbs thinks we may as well try. I'm going to set up a cycle tracker on his iphone so he can kind of track ovulation to make him more involved. Babydust all round xx

Hello & Welcome :)

I'm kinda new here too.

Everyone keeps telling us to keep it laid back...it is hard though when it seems to go through your head every minute of every day, I'm sure it must help if you're more relaxed though :D

Good luck

xxx

hey button a lot of larger sized women get pregnant. of course it does help to lose weight but it can happen...and my excercise is baby making hehe i need to lose weight so i'm in same boat as you. chin up hun and laid back approach might help as you might not go into baby making mode like a lot of women do

Hello to all newbies! I too, am new to all this. My intentions when we first started TTC 2 months ago (curretly in 2WW of month 3) was to stay calm, unobsessed etc. but, its hard. So far, I've managed to stay away from the ovulation kits but if it doesn't happen this month I am almost sure I will give in to temptation. After 11 years on the pill my periods started with a 45 day cycle in June, 30 days in July and 32 days in August. My hubby wants a baby as badly as I do but he wouldn't be up for the ovulation tests just yet - he reckons he couldn't perform on demand like like (TMI sorry!)..... I am so hoping and praying this is our month!!!

I'm going to try my best not to take a PG test until AF is late (if shes late)...every other month I've tortured myseld testing before AF is due with an early response test only to be bitterly disappointed!!

Best of luck to everyone - it's great to have you all here to share the experience and ask any questions!!

Baby dust to all
