Newborn Clothes or (0-3 )Months clothes

My DD was 7lb 5oz and just fit into newborn clothes and soon moved up to 0-3 mths. My DS was 8lb 6oz and I think we just went straight to 0-3 mths clothes for him. He was very lean but long so needed more leg room

I'll prob buy some basic vests and babygro's in newborn size just to be sure, but most of the clothes I'll be getting will be 0-3 mths.
