whats the difference? should i get clothes half and half.. or some newborn mostly 0-3 months? and is it ok to ask for 3-6 months on registry?

Here in the UK the difference is weight. Newborn could be up to 9lbs while 0-3months could be up to 13lbs. I've bought a mixture of both, but anything that I really like I make sure to buy bigger so baby will definately get to wear it.

Dont get loads of newborn. if you dont have enough you can buy some if you have too much theres nothing you can do :) and no i dont think its bad to ask for bigger clothes some moms have enough clothes to last there kids til 12months xx

We have got only a few sets of new born things and the rest will be 0-3 as there isn't much different and will last more in them :) we are asking family if they buy clothes for not new born too

All my babies was over 8 pound weight an the biggest was 9 pound 8 ounces so only just fitted in 0-3 lol I learnt my lesson :D

I've bought mostly 0-3, I have one thing in newborn and that's only cause my mum bought it. I am too scared to buy newborn incase my baby is too big. I'm just gonna send OH out for a small outfit if everything I have is too big (which I'm not-so-secretly hoping will be the case! Lol) xx

I agree, 0-3 definitely. Unless you just have small babies... I don't see any reason why you couldn't ask for 3-6 on your registry. If it's something you like I would put it on there.

im buying 0-3 as my last baby hardly wore any newborn stuff as he was born 8lb10. Its better to buy bigger, so you dont waste ur money. You can always buy a smaller size if need after birth. x

My dh was 11.7!, I was 5.1, so we'll have a couple of newborn things and then ask for 3-6 as the baby seems to be long....

best wishes

I'd buy a couple of things in both just so your covered, but don't go overboard as you may not need one lot.

With my daughter we bought a few newborn and some 0-3. She was born weighing 7lb 5oz so fairly average size but she was a tiny little dot and even newborn swamped her. We had to go out and buy some tiny baby and early baby stuff even though she was born 4 days overdue!

The good thing was that she did eventually get to wear all the newborn and 0-3 things she had.

X

I would only buy a few outfits for newborn and buy the rest in 0-3. Most newborn clothing only goes up to 8lbs and some of my outfits only go to 7lbs, where as 0-3 generally is 7/8lbs to 13lbs. I would buy a couple essentials for newborn and the rest 0-3 months.

are you joking? lol if anythign id get a couple of tiny baby and a couple of newborn, my ds was 7lb13oz, and didnt get in to his 0-3s till 6 months +

I've bought newborn which is up to 11lbs. I think it depends on the stores.

I've just had a little look and the stores sizing varies more than I thought

Boots Newborn up to 9.9lb

Matalan Newborn up to 10lb

Asda Newborn up to 9lb

Asda 0-3 up tp 12lb

Tesco Newborn up to 11lb

Tesco 0- 3 up to 15lb

BHS Newborn up to 10lb

BHS 0-3 up to 14lb

Next up to 1 month 10lb

Next 0-3 10-14lb

It makes you think doesn't it?

Another one for you

Debenhams newborn 8lbs
0-3 months 12lbs

I would do half and half. That is what I am doing

Well its tiny baby, newborn then 0-3. I mean 0-3 is upto say 13lbs which means that's how big they are and its very doubtful ul have a 13pounder ;) I know with oscar he was bearly 7 pounds and wasn't 13 until he was about 2-3 months old! Most of his 'newborn' things swamped him haha! Xxxx
