Popping over quickly from 3rd tri!

I brought this system for my 2nd bubbs!

But the pram part has no harness in the bit in the picture? and the seat you swap to at 6 months does have a harness.

Do I need to get one? Is it possible to add one? How? Help! :nope::nope:

Hadnt though about it until now, and now im worried!

Do you mean there's no harness in the carrycot part? I think that's pretty normal. There's never been a harness in the ones I've looked at. I guess because baby is laid flat and the carrycot has sides all around it, they're pretty safe in there.

Hi carrycots like this for newborns don't have harnesses as they are literally a moving moses basket.

Some can be clipped into car and I don't know if these have internal harness (though don't think they do)

They never have harnesses in my experience.
I never even thought twice about them when mine were newborns tbh. Dont worry, totally normal! X

I never used a stroller for a newborn, but it seems you wouldn't need any sort of harness for a flat laying newborn. You will want one before 6 months though as the above stroller won't do you any good once your baby is rolling.

Nope, there's no harness in a carry cot. You don't need one. It's literally a moses basket on wheels.

quite normal...as another person said it's basically a moving bassinet.

You don't need a harness but if you have an older child (am guessing you do not from q about the carrycot) be warned that my three year old managed to tip over our pram by pulling down on the handle when I was locking the front door. Had I not had the cover thing done up poor baby would have land d face first on the tiled driveway and badly hurt.

Sorry just saw you said 2nd bubs so my warning re big bro or sis accidentally tipping pram still applies!

I've seen a few that hVe a harness in the carrycot bit but not many my silvercross did but that was more of a liner that changed the pram into a carry cot so maybe why they will be ok without one tho x

As others said, no need for straps in carrycot. However, one of my prams did have straps as it doubled as a carseat (lie flat then sitting up) when using it as a pram I just put a mattress in it tho x

My carry cot had a Velcro strap it it was useless and I never used it

Bubs will be fine without, just don't be surprised if they move a little going up and down steep curbs!
