NHS scans on clomid?

Hi, has anyone (currently treated on the NHS in England) been given scans at all whilst on clomid?

Im due to see my FS on Wednesday and its going to be one of my questions!!

I am starting Clomiphene this week & am not getting any scans... (NHS)... My friend went private and was scanned on CD18 every month to check follicle growth xx

Good to know that it is possible to get a scan on the nhs. Can I ask if you have any special circumstances caz? Im really hoping that my FS suggests scans if my bt this month doesnt show decent numbers!

Ive just had my scan on the nhs for the first cycle of clomid, its standard to have the one at my clinic as its in their own literature that they gave to me x

Wow you got literature!! Thats amazing..all i got was a scrap of paper written by the FS telling me when to take provera/ clomid!!

Did you get good results from your scan and what CD did they do it?

I had a dominant follie of 20mm I think it was, that was on cd 11 or 12, cant remember now lol, followed by blood test which showed I did ov this month x

Well for some reason my ticker says 24 but I put it as 23 x

I too got a scan on my first clomid cycle but not on my 2nd cycle as they had enough results from the first. The 2nd cycle didnt work though so I have now increased the dosage to 100mg and am having a scan today to check follicle growth.

I think it depends on your PCT. I live in the southeast and they are quite stingy here. I had to beg for bloods to check progesterone as they almost didn't want to give me even the blood test!

I'm getting a NHS follicle tracking scan when I start my first cycle of clomid, I'm in Devon x

I dont get scans and only get to have two CD21 blood tests out of the 6 months worth of clomid - hope you can get scans!

Hi. I think it depends where you live; I am in Basingstoke, Hampshire and it's not allowed! I will probably have it done privately this month (£135 per scan, ouch)! I hope you get it...

Im getting a scan for my 2nd round of clomid (as well as first) think it might have something to do with the fact I keep ringing the clinic every couple of days with questions and its just to shut me up lol x

Well the questions kind of become irrelevant for me at the moment as i've been taken off clomid as its not working for me. I may have to take it again after ive had ovarian drilling (if that doesnt sort my lack of ov!)

Good luck to you all, I got the impression when I saw my FS that scans were not an option she basically said its ov drilling, tubes tested and clomid..thats all the nhs will offer!!
