correction - RED HEADS not READ HEADS!

personally i love natural red hair and often wondered about taking the plunge for a nice change for myself. my older sister's two children have got beautiful golden hair, so when i read this (below link) i found it both funny and concerning at the same time. dh actually discovered the article and found it hilarious.

can you believe it!?

No way. I love red hair it is gorgeous. That is just stupid.

have an idea that this article isn't going to go down too well, and it wasn't my intention. i just wanted to share the absurdity of it and also the fact it is plastered in a well known newspaper.

despie, your daughters hair is to die for! beautiful :) xx

Thanks, ,I know my kids are beautiful and amazing, but my ds is tortured in school because of his hair and I really can't understand it ,wot is wrong with people ?:cry:

As much as I love red hair (my OH has red hair) I can sort of understand. Kids in the UK can get really bullied for it. My OH has always said thank god he was good at sport (captain of school football and rugby team) as it 'saved' him from the bullying. Unless you have a family history of red hair would you really choose red hair for your child and risk bullying. Then again kids will find anything to bully you over these days.

It's such a shame though :-(

It doesn't matter what colour your kids hair is, they still get bullied whether they have red, brown or blonde hair. My son has blonde hair and was getting bullied until i put a stop to it. I love red hair i love it that much i've gone and got it coloured red  And yes i would choose red hair for my children. :flower:
