Why do I think they don't do that here?

They do that here. Call it stripping the membranes. Your cervix has to be at least slightly dialated and softened for them to try it. Often times it doesn't really do anything. I think here they don't try it until you are at 40 wks. But that may just differ from doctor to doctor.

OH its the difference phrase "sweeping" i wasnt aware of lol I heard of the stripping of membrane before however. I dont think they do it alot though.

Yah you're right. I think they only talk about doing it for you if you go past due date. Lets hope it doesn't come to that for ya and, each doctor may have their own protocol. Lets pray we both ONLY have 2 wks left uh time goes so slowly at the end ......

Im hoping earlier then two weeks, but deep down i feel nothing, and know its probably going to be due date or past. My dr said he would induce me if I went a week past however, so 3 weeks TOPS!
