Normal thermometer for charting?

Hi Ladies, just popping in from WTT

I've decided to start charting in preparation for TTC,

just want to ask is it ok to use just a ordinary digital thermometer for BBT or do i have to buy a specific type?

BBT to 1/10th of a degree or 1/100th of a degree are best. As a normal one may not be as sensitive as a BBT.
