hiya ladies

nicole will be 1 next Tuesday. for the past week she wont eat her lunch or dinner in her high chair. breakfast is fine and even the odd snack (i put her in there if im busy in the kitchen and dh isnt around). she will eat 2 or 3 spoons at dinner or lunch and then stop. i was at my wits end last week and took her out as she was getting stroppy, plonked her on the floor and off she went playing, i sat on the floor and decided to eat her dinner (i was starving lol) and over she came and polished off the whole lot, i had managed to get 2 tsps myself.

is it a phase? anyone else went/going through this?

:flower:

all babies are different but we found high chairs to be a waste of money, time and space.
i use a booster seat on a dining chair (available from toys r us) or... a toddler chair with a toddler table.
got ours from IKEA, they're very reasonable xxxx good luck hun xxxx

I agree with the pp. You could buy her her own little table and chair too. Amelie uses the middle table from our nest and sits in her bumbo lol. Funnily enough though, she cries for a high chair in cafes and restaurants... Odd child.

Yep Douglas has got a bit of a thing about his high chair at the moment too! The last 2 nights we've just sat on the kitchen floor and he's eaten his dinner just fine, lol. Strange children!

breakfast was served on the floor this morning!! im guessing she thinks that the rest of us are not strapped into a chair so why should she :haha:

tbh i dont mind once she eats. thanks ladies
