Hi all, what can I do - if anything?
I work 3 and a half days a week and my mum and MIL are doing the majority of care which is great but my LO attends one day at nursery from 8-3.
She is not eating well or sleeping at all, maybe 15 mins when the norm is 2 hours after lunch. I know this sounds selfish but when I return from work she is sooooo grumpy :nope: and I miss my happy baby.

How long has she been going to nursery hun? It took Lucy about 6-7 weeks to get used to being at nursery but now she loves it! She finally eats well and has a few naps....

xx

She is approaching 17 months and been doing the one day a week since 9 months old. It hasn't always been like this but it's been like it for 4/5 weeks now :nope:

My child used to nap at daycare when she went every day-though it took about six weeks for her to get into that pattern. Now she only goes once a week and refuses to nap at all. I'm pretty sure she will not nap there as it is not her normal routine and even with the other kids napping it is all just too stimulating for her. Also, I went to nursery as a child and never napped in the three years I was there, so maybe it is an inherited trait.

What I do is I make my daughter take a short nap when she gets home (about 30 minutes as opposed to her usual 2.5 hours). The short nap puts her in a better mood and doesn't interfere with her bedtime. Maybe in your case since your DD used to nap and now doesn't that this may just be a phase or she may have a tooth coming in that is bothering her. Good luck.
